Centre for Women Studies and Intervention (CWSI) organized a Capacity Building Workshop Against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) across Abuja and Benin Ecclesiastical Provinces. In Abuja Ecclesiastical Province, the training was held in Lafia Diocese and Makurdi Diocese, while in Benin Ecclesiastical Province, it was conducted in Benin Archdiocese and Usele-Uku Diocese.
The workshop brought together Catholic priests, women religious, members of the Catholic Women Organization (CWO), traditional leaders, young men and women, widows, members of the Catholic Men Organization (CMO), persons with disabilities, and representatives of the Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN) to strengthen their roles as advocates and collaborators in ending all forms of violence and discrimination against women.
