Centre for Women Studies and Intervention (CWSI), in partnership with the Initiative for Community Development and Advancement of Social Orientation (ICODASO), embarked on stakeholder visits to Ikom and Ogoja LGAs of Cross River State to introduce the “Building Climate Security Resilience for Women and Girls of Benue and Cross River States” project. The project is supported by the Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) and UN Women Nigeria.
The visits aimed to secure stakeholders’ buy-in and foster collaboration for effective project implementation. The team was warmly received by community leaders and Local Government officials.
Led by the Project Manager, the team held discussions with community leaders in Ekajuk, Ishiborr, Nde, and Otere communities within the selected LGAs and also paid courtesy visits to the Women Development Officers.
The visits mark an important step toward building partnerships that will ensure inclusive and sustainable implementation of the project across the target communities.
