Praying for the Education and Empowerment of Women and Girls
Today, we join in prayer for the education and empowerment of women and girls, recognizing the vulnerability many face, particularly those with disabilities. Statistics reveal alarming rates of abuse, emphasizing the need for empowerment and protection.

As we light the ninth candle today, our prayers extend to the empowerment of women and girls worldwide, especially in Africa.
Prayers for Today:
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
“Be merciful to me, O God, for in you my soul takes refuge.”
We cry out to God Most High, seeking refuge and deliverance from destroying storms. Today, we bring before the Lord those in our communities facing domestic violence amid social inequality and disadvantage. May our responses be inclusive, embracing all who fall outside the ‘mainstream’ due to disability, cultural background, or sexual orientation.
Lord’s Prayer for Domestic and Family Violence:
Our Father in heaven,
You are a good Father, known for justice, mercy, compassion, and truth. May victims and perpetrators of domestic and family violence recognize your divine attributes.
Your kingdom come.
Bring the full resources of your kingdom to those affected, upending oppressive powers and bringing healing beyond outward appearances.
Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
We trust in your perfect will, seeking daily support, compassion, and wisdom. Provide sustenance to escape violence and instill hope through your gospel.
Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Grant forgiveness for complicity, apathy, or involvement in domestic and family violence. Bestow grace to forgive others.
Lead us not into temptation.
Guide us away from despair and the temptation to perpetuate oppressive cultures and habits. Lead us toward respect and freedom.
And deliver us from evil.
Conquer all evil within and around us, granting freedom, healing, and protection to those in need.
