The “Gender Awareness for Sustainable Development (GASUD)” project, was implemented by the Centre for Women Studies and Intervention (CWSI) with funding support from MISERROR. The project beneficiaries were women in Delta, Cross River, and Ebonyi states. This initiative responded to a spectrum of violations against women’s rights such as Female Genital Mutilation, child marriages, oppressive widowhood practices, and violence against women including rape, trafficking, and economic exclusion. The GASUD project which started in 2009 was executed in three phases and came to an end in 2017.
