CWSI implemented a project titled “Action to end Violence against Women (ATEVAW) with funding support from the United Nations Trust Fund, (UNTF) to end violence against women in Cross River State. The (ATEVAW) Project was initiated to intervene toward ending violence against women and girls in four local government areas of cross-river states where communities practice obnoxious cultures that hold women as inferior to men. The project utilized a comprehensive approach encompassing capacity building, legal advocacy, and community engagement to shift societal attitudes and enhance the protection of women’s rights.
